I know it's been a while!

Hello everyone,

Well it's been a while and Please keep me in your prayers I been going through something serious. I must admit I have been in a serious funk with my Sisterlocks I've had locks to thinning out in the middle of the lock there was a couple that broke off from the root so I am considering many different avenues and I am approaching twenty months on the 21st of the month and I don't see much change. Enough of me venting. Now I was thinking My Sisterlocked sista's we should Plan a Sisterlocked Trip like we did back in 2006 when we went to N.Y. What do you think? Well till next time Peace and stay Natural!

Hi Lashaune,

You don't know me 'cause I'm new, but I just wanted you to know that I took the time to read your blog from the beginning and your locks have had amazing growth and progress.

You mentioned that you were going through something serious and that you were in a serious funk with your locks. I couldn't tell if that was one thing or two things. (Like you're having personal problems AND you don't like your hair right now?)

It's really none of my business, I realize I don't know you like that. I just started my SLs 2 months ago and my blog 4 months ago, but I wanted to say that one of the BEST things for me when I was reading blogs was to find that everyone has issues with their hair and doesn't like it sometimes. Maybe it doesn't look right for a while or starts to shed or thin or some other problem. But I've noticed that most people stick it out and find a solution. (Usually some other sisterlocker has appropriate advice.) And they're glad they did.

If your issues are larger than your hair, I am sorry to hear it and I hope things work out for you. You know that you will be in the thoughts and prayers of all of us in the online SL community.

Remember to take care of yourself and that you are loved.

Peace,

Blackrussian

Hey girlie,

I definitley missed you being on the scene. I can only imagine your frustration with dealing with your locks breaking off. I do hope that looks to be the end of it. If you still see some troubled locks, perhaps a combining of those locks would be best. That worked for me with a few of my locks.

You know you are definitely in my prayers. Just keep the faith.

Sorry to hear you've been in a funk. Your hair looks great though! I think this is the first time I've seen you with curls and the new color.

If I weren't on house arrest studying for the bar, I would have loved another SL trip to NYC. You could always go to San Diego at the end of July to get some hair love. :)

Well I hope that you feeling down will all pass and that things get better. I think your curls look great. As for the trip I'm down, I think it's a great idea!

Thanks for sharing your story. I too have had a similar experience. I feld down for awhile. You are right, it takes patience, and perserverance. BTW, your locks are looking good.

I pray that God will help you to get THROUGH and OVER whatever challenges you're facing in this season.

Your locks are looking good.

Hope all is getting better for both as to life and hair. On the hair front, I've gone through some of the same things you describe and I'm here to say, it's just hair. You have so many that a few misbehaving ones will not make a serious difference. Don't dispair, you're hair looks lovely and no one can tell you may be having issues. And there's always the Locks Conference in October in Philly! We had a blast last year.

Welcome back Sis, I was concerned about you. I sent you an email a couple of months back just to check in on you and let you know that I was praying for you and when I did not hear back I was concerned....but I continued to pray and trust that God was there with you no matter what was going on. So it is a breath of fresh air to see you posting again.

Don't stay away for long, stay connected to your sisters that can keep you encouraged. We love you!

If you can, read a chapter in proverbs every day to stay encouraged.

Whatever the trial God give you enough strenght to endure. Hang in there and never give up. Each day brings new life so take it one day at a time!

Now, about your locks...they have grown so much and looking really locked.

Stay up baby girl!

Hi Lashaune,
Just wanted you to know that you're in my heart and in my prayers. I feel you on the hair front and in dealing with the many trials of life. Whatever you're going through, just remember God's promise...He'll never leave, nor forsake you and most of all...He'll never put more on you than you can bear!

Be Encouraged Today!

Katika

P.S. Your hair is looking quite nice in these pics. You've come a long way and I promise it will only get better :)
